Prototypes: the sky’s the limit!
Designing prototypes is often linked, in our minds, to a physical object, but it can just as well be used with concepts, ideas or processes.
Let’s say, for example, that you wish to launch a new product. You can design its prototypes by building a miniature model, placing it in the context in which it will be used or trying to picture its future consumers.
When should I use it?
Make the most of the presence of so many of your co-workers during a seminar by actively involving them in the design of this new product. Ask them to make prototypes (in 3D or 2D) which will help you reach your ambitious goals. You can use construction blocks (LEGO, wood logs), modelling clay (the notorious Fimo clay, for instance) or simple pens and paper.
