Studies and experience have found that using graphic representations helps us think in the most efficient and creative ways. Coline Ware’s works regarding Information Visualization or the widespread use of infographics for almost everything (and anything) express this eloquently enough. In-depth understanding, memorising, conceptualising… the advantages are many. This is why, for several months, our programmers have been working to introduce the Canvas feature into our workshops.
When should we use the canvases?
A nice drawing is more powerful than a thousand words. It is our friend Confucius, not us, who says this! Should you wish to think about a customer-oriented issue or practice design thinking, Canvases will undoubtedly boost your workshops..
Some methodologies are, by nature, fit to be used with canvases (Customer Empathy Map, Business Model Canvas, SWOT…). Others can easily be adapted to do so (De Bono’s hats, Customer Journey…). In most cases, it is possible to picture a visual representation. The simple fact of displaying your groups into columns rather than horizontal blocs is already an important step in the right direction. Illustration : Sushila Dahan
Stormz Canvases: how does it work?
Canvases are directly linked to a workshop. Made out of columns, squares or dedicated zones displayed on a vectorial drawing, they display the same content as your clusters. You will configure, as you did for criteria, sections or “budgets” for the vote, your canvas from the Settings menu. Beware: you can only use one canvas per workshop.
We have put at your disposal a few models of canvases that you can use now very easily. We are also able to design our own canvases – to do so, please contact us!
How to create my first canvas?
Your canvas is now ready! Share your canvas stories with us in the comments! Learn more about the canvas in our help article.
