The 2016 Mindcamp conference took place from the 17th to the 21st of August and, as you can imagine, Stormz couldn't miss this incredibly creative event! For this occasion, we designed a highly ambitious collaborative experience to show how we could combine biomimicry and Stormz – in other words, how to blend natural mechanisms with digital technology! stormz in the wild biomimicry After attending a short presentation on biomimicry, the participants took part in a photo safari - with their Stormz iPads - in order to find inspiration in the wilderness of Canadian landscapes. The challenge was as follows: how can nature be a source of inspiration? How can it help us come up with creative challenges?

Take a look at what they harvested and see if it inspires you… stormz in the wild biomimicry Don't miss out on the details. What can you learn from your observation? How can you use this knowledge to develop new products, new technologies ? stormz in the wild biomimicry Then, thanks to a Challenge Storming with Stormz, our amazing participants came up with some very interesting challenges. I cannot keep myself from sharing some of them with you:

  • How to use the mushroom structure to get rid of the human-induced waste?
  • How might we use the decay process for recycling purposes?
  • How may the sponge texture of the organism help us create organic filters for water treatment?
  • How to quickly grow natural structures resilient to catastrophes?...

Even the most sceptical participants were amazed with the results and truly enjoyed the moment.

Stormz made it possible!
